Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Fabricate sheet metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components
- Perform grinding, welding, and finishing tasks to ensure smooth surfaces and secure joints
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to meet project requirements
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into larger structures or systems
- Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to maintain high standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, and assembly of sheet metal components
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to sheet metal work and related processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling used in sheet metal fabrication
- Strong understanding of basic mathematics for measurements and calculations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Prior experience working with sheet metal materials is highly desirable
- Willingness to follow safety procedures diligently and work as part of a team
Pay: £12.21-£25.42 per hour
