Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Supervisor to oversee daily store operations and lead our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing sales and merchandising activities, and ensuring the smooth running of the store to meet business objectives. The Retail Supervisor will play a key role in motivating staff, maintaining organisational standards, and enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Organise staff rotas, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance
- Oversee merchandising activities to ensure displays are attractive and aligned with brand standards
- Manage stock levels, organise stock replenishment, and coordinate inventory checks
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism and courtesy
- Conduct staff training sessions on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Maintain administrative records including staff attendance, sales reports, and stock movement logs
- Foster a positive team environment through leadership, coaching, and organisational skills
Experience
- Proven management or supervisory experience within a retail environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Experience in sales management, merchandising, and organisational planning
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous administrative experience including report preparation and record keeping
- Knowledge of retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology is advantageous
- Exceptional phone etiquette and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
