RUNNER / COMMIS WAITER OR WAITRESS
Villa di Geggiano is an elegant Tuscan restaurant located at 66–68 Chiswick High Road, London W4 1SY. Recognised by Tatler as one of London’s best Italian restaurants, we are known for authentic Tuscan cuisine, beautiful surroundings and warm, attentive service.
We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Runner/Commis Waiter or Waitress to join our front-of-house team.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality and take pride in helping us deliver an exceptional dining experience. You will work closely with the waiting and kitchen teams to ensure that every service runs smoothly and that food and drinks are delivered promptly and professionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering food and drinks to guests accurately and efficiently
- Confidently presenting dishes and explaining their main ingredients
- Supporting waiters throughout service
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Preparing the restaurant before each service
- Keeping service stations clean, organised and fully stocked
- Communicating effectively with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Maintaining our high standards of presentation, cleanliness and guest service
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a quality à la carte restaurant
- Fluent spoken English
- A good understanding of food, wine and beverages
- Excellent attention to detail
- A friendly, professional and guest-focused manner
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
- A motivated, enthusiastic and reliable approach
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- The right to work in the UK
