Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for those in need of assistance. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met with sensitivity and respect.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in clients’ conditions.
- Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal belongings.
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely within the community.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards clients.
