Duties
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they receive attentive service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, offering recommendations and upselling where appropriate
- Serve drinks and meals efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Assist with setting up the bar and dining areas before service and clearing tables after
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing enquiries promptly and courteously
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in serving, upselling, or culinary roles is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
