Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children and young people within a residential setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. Duties
- Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in accordance with individual care plans
- Assist with organising activities, educational support, and recreational outings to promote social skills and personal development
- Support children with daily routines such as meal times, personal hygiene, and bedtime routines
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and any relevant observations in line with organisational policies
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent care delivery
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation at all times
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with organisational guidelines
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents by adhering to health and safety policies
Skills
- Experience working with children or young people in a care or educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt support strategies accordingly
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Valid driving licence for safe transportation of residents when necessary
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
- Organised approach to managing daily routines and documentation effectively

Pay: £24,420.00-£52,000.00 per year
