About the role
As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing one or more of our amazing customers.
You will maintain and develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, maintain commercial disciplines, identify other commercial opportunities and work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and profitable growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who understands the food, FMCG, foodservice or wholesale sector and enjoys working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
You will be responsible for
- Manage and develop relationships with national customers.

Develop and implement account plans and commercial strategies.
-
Identify opportunities to add value, extend product range and maintain customer profitability.

Prepare and present regular customer reviews and business updates.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.

Work closely with all internal departments supply chain, operations, I.T. and finance teams to maintain excellent customer delivery and service.

Review forecasted customer demand periodically

Manage commercial reviews
-
Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.

Ensure customer expectations are understood and consistently exceeded.

Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective national accounts.
You will need
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, customer-focused and confident operating at a senior level with major customers and key stakeholders in Best.
You will ideally have:

Proven experience in a National Account Manager, Key Account Manager or similar commercial role.

Experience within food distribution, foodservice, FMCG, wholesale or a related sector.
-
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
-
Experience managing commercial agreements
-
Strong analytical and financial awareness.
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-
The ability to build credible, long-term relationships with customers.
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

A proactive, results-driven approach.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally, where required, including visits to other depots and face to face meetings with customers
