Catering Manager Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Catering Manager to oversee our on site catering operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, culinary arts, and leadership, ensuring that our catering services meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires a passion for food preparation and an ability to supervise kitchen and service staff effectively while maintaining food safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will have a full UK driving licence but not essential.
You will only work March to December and have a full 2 months off every year.
Duties
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of catering events.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper food preparation techniques.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs and provide exceptional service tailored to their requirements.
- Manage inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Implement training programmes for kitchen staff to enhance their skills in food preparation and safety.
- Monitor the quality of food served at events, ensuring it meets the established standards of excellence.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Handle any client inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen and service staff.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen setting.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, staff, and vendors.
- A passion for delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
