Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction-related skills and be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of windows in residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace windows in various types of buildings
- Measure and cut window frames according to specifications
- Ensure proper sealing and insulation around window installations
- Work with a variety of materials including wood, aluminium, and uPVC
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installations
- must have your own tools
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in window/door fitting, min 5years experience
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Good physical fitness as the role may require lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- A valid driving licence
