Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support food presentation and plating to meet quality standards
- Help with kitchen organisation, including cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Contribute to the supervision of junior team members and ensure smooth team operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Support the team during service periods, providing excellent customer service when required
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, catering, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with kitchen environments, including food preparation and cooking techniques
- Supervising or team management experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or hotel is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
