We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 1 Tramper to join our dynamic transportation team. As a Class 1 Tramper, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks on long-haul routes, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations. Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 trucks with precision and adherence to all safety regulations on long-distance routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trailers and vehicles to ensure roadworthiness
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo, following proper procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs throughout each journey
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols during every trip
- Assist with route planning to optimize efficiency and fuel consumption
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trailers or similar equipment
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations, safety standards, and load securing techniques for flatbed freight
- Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks confidently over long distances and varied terrain
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or extended shifts as needed
