We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in planning menus and developing new recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Support training of junior staff members in cooking techniques and safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices (SFBB)
- Experience with meal preparation, plating, and presentation techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
- Serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for delivering excellent customer service is essential
