GNRC’s Rainbow Club offers wrap-around childcare to pupils of Greenway & Trafalgar Pupils and our nursery children (age ranges from 2-11 years old). We are seeking to recruit to fill the position of Childcare Assistant. This position can be taken up on a term time only basis with overtime available in school holidays depending on the requirements of the applicant, because we run Holiday Clubs in addition to Breakfast and After-School Clubs in term time. Rainbow Club operates from 7:30 – 9:00am and 15:00 – 18:00pm, Monday to Friday in term time and 8:00 – 6:00 in the holidays. We are looking for a candidate to work up to 4 days a week , but we are happy to negotiate a different schedule for the right candidate.
This role attracts an hourly rate of £12.25-£13.45 (depending on qualification). The main duties include playing with children; taking daily responsibility for the smooth running of the setting; maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, hygiene and well-being for both children and staff; communicating effectively with the school, staff, children and parents and escorting the children to and from School.
The successful candidate will be: energetic and enthusiastic with a professional and engaging manner; an organised team player, able to work seamlessly with GNRC’s Directors and the school; and enjoy having fun!!
Previous Childcare experience would be nice to have, but we are happy to take on unqualified people.
The ideal candidate will be available to start as soon as possible, ideally before October.
