About the role

Balfour Beatty Living Places is looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of programming, design and project delivery activities across our Southampton contract.
Managing programmes and schemes worth up to £35m per annum, you'll provide strategic leadership across planning, design and project management teams, ensuring client priorities, contractual commitments and business objectives are achieved.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the delivery of capital programmes and operational projects across the Southampton contract.
- Providing leadership to Programming, Design and Project Management teams.
- Driving collaboration across planning, design and delivery disciplines.
- Managing contract performance, governance, risk and reporting.
- Championing a culture of Zero Harm and continuous improvement.
- Working with commercial teams to manage budgets, resources, forecasting and change.
- Building strong relationships with Client, supply chain partners and key stakeholders.
- Promoting data-driven decision making through digital tools and performance reporting.
Who we're looking for
- Proven leadership experience within project delivery, construction, highways or infrastructure environments.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing teams and developing high-performing individuals.
- Ability to create and implement delivery strategies.
- Strong understanding of performance management and key delivery metrics.
- Customer-focused with a collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Experience across a variety of project types.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Professional Management or Project Delivery Qualification/s.
