Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Candidate must have own car to work in the rural areas.
Duties
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support residents or clients with daily activities in accordance with care plans
- Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems and care plan software
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals in your care
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Support with household chores and ensuring a clean, safe environment
- Drive clients or residents to appointments or activities as required
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and their families to ensure high standards of care
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive is preferred but not mandatory for all roles
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and updating care plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
