We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at the Norfolk Mead Hotel, home to a 2 AA Rosette-awarded restaurant known for its high-quality, seasonal cuisine and exceptional dining experience.
Position Details:

- Hours: 45 hours per week

- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
About the Role:
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining the high standards expected of a 2 Rosette establishment. You will have the creative freedom to shape menus, drive innovation, and deliver consistently outstanding dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Contracted to 45 hours per week, 9 hours per day based on a 5 day working week. Shifts are inclusive of day, evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team
- Design and deliver seasonal menus to Rosette standard
- Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage stock, ordering, and cost control effectively
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Work closely with front-of-house to deliver an excellent guest experience
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Senior Sous Chef/Head Chef Role
- Proven background in Rosette-level or equivalent kitchens
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Passion for high-quality food and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
