We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef / Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation.
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and presentation standards.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement innovative recipes whilst maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster professional development and uphold standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment at all times.
- Uphold food safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production processes.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in menu development, culinary innovation, and restaurant operations is highly desirable.
- Previous experience serving customers or working in hospitality is advantageous but not essential.
