Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Ensure all food safety standards are maintained to provide a safe and hygienic environment for customers and staff
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed during busy periods
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing transactions and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Effectively manage time during peak hours to serve customers efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Skills
- Proven barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health standards
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and enthusiasm in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, measuring ingredients, and managing inventory
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Strong communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
