Job Overview
We are seeking professional HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating curtainside lorries to deliver goods across various locations in the CV area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service. The position is full-time and involves delivering goods in a timely and professional manner, adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 curtainside lorries to complete scheduled deliveries and collections.
- Ensure all cargo is secured correctly and complies with safety standards during transit.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times whilst adhering to legal driving hours.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
- Follow all road safety laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organised, and well-maintained throughout shifts.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtainside vehicles or similar large vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service.
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record of at least 2 years.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation.

Pay: £15.47 per hour
