We are looking for a Full time Maintenance Person for our care home in Reading, Berkshire .
Pay and Benefits
- £13.83 per hour
- Paid mileage 45p per mile when travelling between our homes if using your own vehicle.

A Maintenance Person is needed to support our care home in Reading.
You must have at least one year's experience of working in a similar role to be considered for this position.
Duties
A full Job Description is available on request. Duties are briefly:
- Ensure that all delegated maintenance tasks are carried out to a high standard.
- Promptly report any issues to the Registered Manager and the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure that all records pertaining to mandatory checks and health and safety matters are maintained in the stated time frames.
- Conduct required audits in given timelines.
Reports to: Facilities Manager and Registered Manager
Hours of work
Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Occasional callouts may be required outside these hours.
Person Specification
- Clean driving licence with use of own vehicle. (mileage will be paid at 45p per mile if using your own vehicle).
- Flexible
- Experienced in general DIY
- Capable of working without supervision
- Uses initiative to seek out new tasks
- Reliable with good time management skills
- Adaptable
- Good health
The role will be offered subject to satisfactory right to work and reference checks and a clear DBS check.
