Restaurant Host

Previous premium restaurant, luxury hotel or high-end hospitality experience required
We are looking for an exceptional Restaurant Host to become the face of Itihaas.
This is a dedicated hosting role for someone with confidence, presence, warmth and impeccable personal presentation who is comfortable welcoming a discerning clientele and taking complete ownership of the guest arrival experience.
The role
You will:
- Welcome and personally greet every guest
- Manage reservations, arrivals and the table plan
- Take coats and escort guests to their table
- Recognise returning guests and special occasions
- Build rapport quickly and naturally
- Handle demanding guests calmly and professionally
- Manage waiting guests and unexpected situations with confidence
- Work closely with the management team to control guest flow
- Ensure every guest receives an excellent first and final impression
We are looking for someone who is
- Experienced in premium or luxury hospitality
- Exceptionally confident and articulate
- Warm, personable and naturally engaging
- Polished and immaculately presented
- Calm and composed under pressure
- Comfortable speaking with high-profile, affluent and demanding guests
- Highly organised and confident using reservation systems
- Discreet, observant and emotionally intelligent
- Able to create an immediate connection with guests
This is not simply a reception role.
The Host is responsible for the front door, the welcome and the first impression of Itihaas. We need someone who can carry that responsibility with confidence.
Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical hosting role-play as part of the interview process.
