Operations Supervisor, Retail
The Operations Supervisor will provide essential operational support across logistics, supplier and stock coordination, and fulfilment execution.
This role creates a single point of accountability for day-to-day supply, stock and operational processes.
Sitting at the heart of Bertioli operations, the Operations Supervisor will ensure that demand planning, inventory discipline, process-driven visual merchandising, supplier follow-up and warehouse coordination are handled with structure, accuracy and consistency - enabling retail and sales teams to focus on customer experience and trading performance.
Supplier Coordination
· Be the point of contact, liaising closely with suppliers to track orders, communicate timelines interrnally and ensure accuracy and timely delivery throughout.
· Manage purchase orders end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, tracking and timely processing.
· Follow up with suppliers on delivery schedules, lead times and outstanding orders.
· Maintain clear operational visibility across inbound stock and production timelines.
· Place top up orders of evergreen collections and ranges with suppliers.
Logistics, Delivery Tracking & Warehouse Liaison
· Use demand planning and sales forecasting tools with all internal clients to anticipate the business need for stock across retail and trade at Thyme and Pimlico, on a monthly basis, placing orders with the warehouse.
· Coordinate deliveries and warehouse communication.
· Oversee accurate and timely stock movement across channels and locations.
· Ensure delivery tracking is consistent and issues are resolved quickly.
· Act as the central operational link between suppliers, warehouse partners and internal teams.
· Bring structure to operational workflows, reducing reliance on ad hoc junior team effort.
Stock Accuracy & Inventory Discipline
· Ensure stock accuracy across retail, ecommerce and wholesale needs at all times.
· Maintain disciplined inventory processes to reduce discrepancies and operational duplication.
· Work closely with the Head of Commercial & Product on stock planning routines and fulfilment priorities.
· Oversee stock control processes, including deliveries, transfers, and inventory accuracy.
· Conduct regular stock checks and support investigations into discrepancies or losses
Visual Merchandising
· Ensure timely replenishment of the shop floor while maintaining optimal stock levels in line with sales demand.
· Support implementation of seasonal displays, product rotations, and promotional setups.
· Collaborate with management on retail initiatives, campaigns, and product launches to maximise sales opportunities.
Fulfilment Support
· Support day-to-day fulfilment execution, ensuring customer orders and stock flows run smoothly across retail and trade, working closely with the warehouse to answer any queries.
· Bring ideas to the table to elevate the customer experience
· Lead and manage the end-to-end bespoke sales process for specific unique items that remain at Thyme, supporting the Boutique Team with initial client consultation through to order placement and final delivery.
· Ensure operational standards are maintained as the business scales.
· Manage the stock room on-site, keeping it meticulously tidy and organised and being the person responsible for moving stock in and out to the various teams on-site, the warehouse and Pimlico.
Team Support
· Be a point of escalation for issues from the Retail, Boutique and Trade Teams.
· Remain flexible to be present and support the Boutique Team on pop ups, events etc.
Skills & Experience
· Passion for following, implementing and improving systems and processes to ensure continual operations effectiveness.
· Strong operational coordination experience within retail, ecommerce or luxury consumer goods.
· Highly organised, detail-driven and proactive in managing logistics and supplier processes.
· Confident working across stock systems, warehouse partners and internal stakeholders.
· Committed to bringing structure and accountability into fast-moving environments.
· Execution-focused mindset with strong follow-through, ownership and accountability.
