Job Title: Warehouse Operative - Material Handler Granulation
Bonus - Based on company targets
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 15:30 & Friday 7:00-14:00
Principle Activities:
· Operate and monitor granulation equipment, ensuring materials are processed and returned to customers to required standards
· Complete the necessary operational checks to make sure machine is in good working order
· Carry out safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the warehouse and yard
· Prepare and organise customer return items (e.g. bases and lids), ensuring correct stacking, banding, and presentation
· Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counting, achieving assigned aisle/count targets
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and ensure system accuracy
· Ensure all materials are correctly identified, labelled, and stored within the warehouse management system
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping across warehouse, production, and yard areas
· Follow all health & safety procedures, including use of PPE in a noisy environment
· Work collaboratively with team leaders and admin teams to support operational efficiency
Granulation Duties
· Set up machines and ensure they are ready for operation
· Carry out routine safety and performance checks
· Feed materials into granulators and manage output
· Assist with minor fault resolution (e.g. thermal overloads)
· Take daily samples of the material.
· Maintain a clean and organised granulation area
· Perform cycle counts when needed and assist other operational teams if needed.
· Conduct stock checks on customer-specific packaging
Quality, Safety & Compliance
· Work safely in a noisy environment using appropriate PPE (including ear protection)
· Follow all company procedures, health & safety regulations, and safe systems of work
· Inspect materials and report any quality issues
· Support daily objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping across warehouse and yard areas
Equipment & Systems
· Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and other machinery safely
· Report any faults or issues with equipment to management
· Input and retrieve data from stock management systems
· Print and manage labels as required
Warehouse & Material Handling
· Unload incoming goods and load outbound shipments safely and efficiently
· Verify incoming and outgoing goods against documentation
· Store materials in designated locations and manage returns to suppliers
· Remove and manage spent pallets and packaging.
· Prepare customer return items (e.g. bases and lids), ensuring correct stacking, banding, and presentation
· Support general warehouse operations and provide cover across teams when required
Pay: £26,446.44-£28,466.66 per year
