Job Overview
We are seeking a Waking Night ,compassionate and dedicated FEMALE only Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to a 16 year old girl with complex needs. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with an emphasis on enhancing the quality of life for the young client.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
- Administer medication via Peg/Jej
- Assist with suction, bpap ventilator and hoist client
- Administer first aid as necessary and monitor clients’ health conditions.
- Support clients with personal centred needs, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Assist with wheel chair when required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Drive client to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring their safe transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care or complex needs care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of care practices and standards is beneficial. .
- Ability to know how to use hoists and assist clients with physical mobility.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to care.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
- Willingness to undergo training in suction, peg feeding and complex needs and other relevant areas as required.
