The successful candidate will deliver GCSE English to learners from Entry Level to Level 2, creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes achievement, progression and positive outcomes.
The post holder will be expected to provide high-quality teaching and access to learning, ensuring all students are supported to succeed. In addition, it is expected that the successful candidate will contribute to course design, programme development and the expansion of the curriculum area.
- Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across GCSE English programmes.

Teach learners from Entry Level through to Level 2.

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Support students to achieve their qualifications and develop their literacy skills.

Contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of programmes and course materials.

Participate in curriculum development activities and support the growth of the English provision within the Creative Department.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning.

Participate in quality assurance processes and contribute to College improvement initiatives.

Provide pastoral and academic support to learners, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree or relevant qualification in English or a related subject.

Possess a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).

Have experience teaching GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
