B & T Hicks Transport are proud to announce increased volumes being added to two major contracts. Therefore we urgently require Class 1 HGV Tramper Drivers for work commencement starting July 2026. Starts subject to successful completion of onsite interview and assessment.
Role:
The driver must be fully compliant and have extensive experience delivering to industrial, commercial, and retail customers throughout the UK. Deliveries are carried out with a variety of single drop and multi drop routes dependent on the day to day planning schedules. Multi drop work is rare and doesn't normally exceed 7 drops per day if it does happen. Single drop work is much more readily available. Driver must have no more than six penalty points on their licence and minimum 2 years Class 1 HGV driving experience.
Shifts:
We operate flexible start times subject to your allocated route for the next day on a Monday - Friday basis with the requirement to run in on a Saturday should the need arise. Driver should be prepared for average 4 -5 nights out per week.
Rates of Pay:
· £48k - £55k per year
· Bonus pay scheme can be discussed at interview.
Driver expectation:
- You will be responsible for the accurate, safe, and timely movement of our customers’ products to their delivery destination, in line with all relevant health and safety compliance.
- Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail.
- Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements.
