As we execute our major expansion strategy which includes launching a large B2B Wholesale Hub & Warehouse in Sheffield, onboarding two new regional franchise locations (Ashford and Bolton), and launching our own proprietary raw food production line under the brand Lumi Foods we are seeking an experienced, high-calibre Marketing Manager to lead our marketing division and execute our nationwide growth strategy.
Role Overview
The Marketing Manager will take complete operational ownership of Nxtion Food Market’s overall marketing infrastructure. You will transition our marketing operations from ad-hoc promotional tactics to a unified, multi-channel corporate strategy.
A central priority for this role will be steering the complete brand launch and market rollout of Lumi Foods , ensuring our manufactured raw food products achieve widespread shelf placement across independent retail shops, ethnic supermarkets, and grocery stockists across the UK. Additionally, you will build our B2B wholesale buyer pipeline, establish marketing SOPs for incoming Franchise Directors, manage promotional budgets, and direct an internal team of junior Marketing Officers.
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties1. Strategic Marketing, Brand Launch & B2B Expansion (80%)
- Lumi Foods Brand Rollout: Lead the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for our new raw food brand, Lumi Foods Oversee packaging design, trade marketing, B2B sales collateral, and retail outreach campaigns to secure shelf space in retail shops and grocery outlets across the UK.
- Wholesale & Retail Strategy Execution: Design and deploy integrated marketing campaigns across retail stores, our e-commerce storefront (WooCommerce), monthly pop-up markets, and our upcoming Sheffield B2B wholesale warehouse division supplying commercial buyers.
- Franchise Brand Governance: Formulate promotional toolkits, brand guidelines, and marketing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new regional franchise entities (including Nxtion Food Market Ashford Ltd and Nxtion Food Market Bolton Ltd).
- Multi-Channel Communications: Manage cross-channel marketing systems, including digital/social media ads, print collateral, automated Mailchimp email funnels, and promo code promotional generation.
- Stakeholder & Partner Liaison: Engage directly with internal directors, new Franchise Directors, key trade suppliers, retail stockists, and commercial buyers to align campaign timelines and secure distribution partnerships.
- Departmental Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and assign daily deliverables to an internal team of junior Marketing Officers, steering overall campaign performance and ROI metrics.
2. Field Marketing & Event Direction (20%)
- Oversee and direct live marketing activations on-site during trade fairs, retail stockist launches, monthly regional pop-up market tours, and official franchise grand openings.
- Monitor live campaign metrics, audit marketing assets, and provide real-time mentorship to junior marketing staff.
Key Requirements & QualificationsMandatory Requirements:
- Industry & Demographic Expertise: Deep commercial understanding of African food produce, FMCG supply chain dynamics, and the cultural nuances of the UK’s African diaspora demographic.
- Brand Launch & B2B/B2C Experience: Proven track record in executing product brand launches (FMCG/food production) alongside B2B client acquisition (retail/wholesale stockists) and B2C retail campaigns.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with WooCommerce, Mailchimp, social media advertising ecosystems, analytics platforms, and CRM/campaign management software.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated capability in leading junior marketing staff, coordinating with senior directors/franchise partners, and managing external creative teams.
- Project Management: Ability to drive tight campaign rollout schedules (including multi-site and product launches prior to the end-of-summer deadline).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working within the UK ethnic food sector, FMCG manufacturing, or food retail/wholesale distribution.
- Experience in corporate franchise network rollouts and B2B vendor placement.
