We have an exciting opportunity for a Resourcing Support Officer to join our friendly and high-performing Resourcing Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Working at the heart of our Human Resources Service, you'll play an important role in helping us attract, recruit and retain talented people who deliver vital services across Trafford.
As a key member of the team, you'll work with hiring managers, candidates and HR colleagues to provide a seamless recruitment service from advert through to appointment. Whether you're coordinating recruitment campaigns, processing pre-employment checks, preparing contracts or supporting candidates through the recruitment journey, you'll help ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to excellent customer service.
What you'll be doing

Supporting recruitment activity across the Council from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
- Acting as a first point of contact for recruitment enquiries, providing advice and guidance to candidates and managers.
- Managing pre-employment checks and ensuring all records are accurate and compliant.
- Placing adverts using our Applicant Tracking System and supporting attraction campaigns.
- Producing offer letters, contracts and recruitment documentation.
- Building positive relationships with stakeholders and delivering an exceptional recruitment experience.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering high-quality work and can juggle multiple priorities with confidence.
You will have experience working in a busy administrative, recruitment or customer-focused environment and be comfortable managing high volumes of work while maintaining excellent attention to detail. You'll be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective working relationships and provide a professional service at all times. Strong IT skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service are essential.
Experience within recruitment or HR administration would be advantageous.
