Tavey House is looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly team on day shifts.
This role is suitable for experienced Senior Care Assistants only. We are looking for someone who is confident leading a shift, administering medication, supporting colleagues and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Job Summary
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care within our residential care home, supporting residents with their daily lives while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing. You will play an important role in leading the care team, ensuring excellent standards of care are maintained and acting as a positive role model for your colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
- Lead and support the care team during your shift, promoting high standards of care and teamwork.
- Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, mobility and nutritional support.
- Administer medication safely and accurately in line with company policies.
- Complete accurate care records using electronic care systems.
- Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Participate in care plan reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of resident care.
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant within a residential or nursing care home.
- Experience administering medication.
- Confident leading and supervising a care team.
- Good knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- IT literate and confident using electronic care systems.
- Reliable, caring and committed to delivering outstanding care.
