We're looking for someone exceptional.
The Civic Hall Hotel is an exciting new boutique hotel opening in the heart of Hebden Bridge. We're creating something that's a little different—beautifully designed spaces, exceptional cleanliness, thoughtful guest experiences anda genuinely welcoming atmosphere.
We're looking for a Head of Guest Experience to become the face of our day-to-day operation and help us build a hotel that guests can't wait to return to.
This isn't justa housekeeping position. It's an opportunity to lead the guest experience from arrival to departure, helping shape the culture, standards and reputation of a brand-new hotel from day one.
About the Role
As our Head of Guest Experience, you’ll take ownership of the guest journey from arrival to departure, setting the standards, systems and culture that define how the hotel feels every day.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining daily operational oversight with the opportunity to shape a new botique hotel from launch.
As the hotel grows, you’ll recruit, train and lead the housekeeping and guest operations team, building consistent standards that support a genuinely five-star guest experience.
Responsibilities
Your role will focus on four key areas:
- Guest experience: Managing smooth arrivals, departures, enquiries and issue resolution with warmth and professionalism.
- Standards and presentation: Ensuring every room, apartment and communal area is consistently clean, beautifully presented and inspection ready.
- Team leadership: Recruiting, training, rota planning, holding quarterly team reviews and supporting the housekeeping and guest operations team as the business grows.
- Operations and improvement: Managing supplies, linen, stock control, supplier relationships and practical systems that keep the hotel running smoothly.
- Owner collaboration: Working closely with the hotel owners to refine service standards, improve procedures and support the wider operation when needed.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Has previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping or hotel management
- Takes genuine pride in high standards and attention to detail
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
- Enjoys leading people and bringing out the best ina team
- Is calm under pressure and naturally solutions-focused
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Is confident using booking systems, email and basic computer software (training can be provided)
- Is physically fit, able and comfortable lifting and carrying items up and down stairs
- Has a desire to help build something special from the very beginning
What We Offer
- Salary from £28,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, with annual reviews
