The Role
As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in promoting wellbeing, independence, and joy for our residents through engaging, person-centred activities. You’ll deliver a mix of in-house activities and community-based outings, supported by access to a shared minibus.
You won’t be working alone — you’ll be part of a collaborative activities team, working closely with fellow coordinators across this service and our wider homes to share ideas, resources, and best practice.

What You’ll Do
You’ll help transform everyday life for residents by creating stimulating, inclusive, and meaningful activities that promote dignity, independence, and enjoyment.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, delivering, and evaluating person-centred activities tailored to residents living with dementia and nursing needs
- Facilitating in-house activities such as arts & crafts, music, reminiscence, games, and wellbeing sessions
- Organising and supporting community outings using the shared minibus
- Building warm, trusting relationships with residents and encouraging social engagement
- Working collaboratively with other Activities Coordinators across services to share ideas and initiatives
- Supporting residents’ emotional wellbeing and recognising changes in mood or behaviour
- Recording activity participation and outcomes in line with care plans
- Adhering to all home policies, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Communicating effectively with care staff, families, and the home management team
- Promoting equality, dignity, and respect at all times
