The Role
As our receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional and reassuring experience.
This role is focused on reception and patient-facing duties, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly day-to-day. You will be responsible for managing the clinic diary, booking appointments appropriately and understanding the treatments we offer so you can confidently guide patients to the correct clinician and appointment type.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional first impression
- Managing the clinic diary and booking appointments accurately
- Understanding our treatments, clinicians and appointment types to ensure patients are booked appropriately
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries professionally
- Taking payments and processing transactions
- Greeting patients and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Maintaining confidentiality and following patient privacy procedures
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming reception and clinic environment
- Daily cleaning duties
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Supporting the clinical team where required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in reception, or a patient-facing role
- Ideally has experience within a healthcare environment, such as dental reception, GP reception, private healthcare or a similar setting
- Has experience managing a busy diary and confidently organising appointments
- Is willing to learn about our treatments, clinicians and services so patients receive the correct guidance when booking
- Understands the importance of staying within their role and leaving clinical advice to our qualified practitioners
- Is friendly, approachable and professional with excellent communication skills
- Is organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy clinic environment
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit team and contributing to a positive clinic atmosphere
- Takes pride in delivering an exceptional patient experience from the moment someone contacts us
