Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bike Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing bicycles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of bicycles to identify issues and assess repair needs.
- Repair and replace components such as gears, brakes, tyres, chains, and other bicycle parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting bike parts for smooth operation.
- Assemble new bicycles from components according to manufacturer specifications.
- Test ride bikes post-repair to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance work, and parts used for each bicycle.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, or similar equipment is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs and safety compliance.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple repairs efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers regarding repair needs and maintenance advice.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
