About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised Receptionist to join our busy office in Sale (M33). This key role ensures the smooth running of the office and provides a professional, welcoming experience for visitors, clients, and colleagues.
Working Hours: Full Time, Weekdays 8:45am–5:30pm (4PM finish on Fridays)
Location: Stafford Court, 145 Washway Road, Sale, M33 7PE (Office based)
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, clients, and contractors—offering a warm, professional welcome and ensuring a positive first impression of the business.
- Provide general administrative support to managers and teams as required.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
- Order and maintain office, kitchen, and stationery supplies.
- Answer overflow calls during busy periods, ensuring queries are handled efficiently and directed appropriately.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared and presentable.
- Greet and assist guests, including providing refreshments and ensuring they are comfortable during their visit.
- Keep reception, meeting rooms, and communal areas tidy and professional.
- Support internal meetings and office events, including room setup and refreshments.
- Maintain visitor logs and internal records.
- Act as Fire Marshal, following office fire safety procedures and policies.
- Provide occasional support to the Office Manager, Operations, or HR teams.
Skills and Experience
- At least one year Receptionist experience
- Always well-presented and smart, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual.
- Driver with own vehicle is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills, able to handle enquiries and resolve issues politely and efficiently.
- Friendly and approachable, creating a welcoming environment for all visitors and clients.
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
- Confident telephone manner, able to handle multiple calls efficiently.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and quick to learn new systems.
