The Opportunity
We are working with an established and growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor that is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager.
This is a senior operational position overseeing the delivery of groundworks and civil engineering projects across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and the Home Counties.
The position will combine office and site-based working and will involve managing projects from pre-construction through to successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender, design and pre-construction information.
- Plan project delivery and identify risks prior to works commencing.
- Oversee groundworks and civil engineering projects.
- Manage and support Site Managers and project teams.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Monitor project programmes, costs and overall performance.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and site presentation.
- Work closely with clients throughout project delivery.
- Liaise with commercial teams regarding costs and project performance.
- Identify and resolve potential programme or delivery issues.
What We're Looking For
- Strong background within groundworks and civil engineering.
- Previous Contracts Manager, Project Manager or senior site management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of drainage, foundations and external works.
- Experience managing site teams and multiple project requirements.
- Good commercial and programme awareness.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent client-facing and communication ability.
- Relevant construction or management qualifications.
- Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £350.00-£450.00 per day
