About us
Matcha is having a moment. But we think what's happening is much bigger than a trend. Just as specialty coffee transformed what people expect from a cup of coffee, we're seeing the same shift happen in tea. Consumers are becoming more interested in quality, provenance and how their tea is made, and as a result, cafés are increasingly replacing cheap commodity powders with better alternatives.
brut tea was founded in London in 2024 by Joyce (ex-TikTok) and Raphael (Forbes 30 under 30, 2x founder), who left their careers in tech to retrain as tea sommeliers and build a different kind of tea company.
"Brut" means raw, natural and unfiltered. That's how we approach tea: sourcing directly and carefully, letting provenance and terroir speak for themselves, and presenting tea in a way that feels relevant to how people drink today. In two years, we've grown from an idea into a brand supplying 100+ cafés and venues across the UK, alongside a growing online community. Now we're entering our next chapter: building brut tea into a consumer brand centred around creativity, community and connection. We're looking for someone who shares our passion and wants to help us build it.
About the Role
We're looking for a creative, proactive and trend-savvy Content & Social Media Executive to help us grow brut tea's presence across social media. You'll play a key role in shaping how the brand shows up online — from spotting the next TikTok trend and developing a campaign idea, to getting behind the camera, creating content, publishing it and analysing what works.
This is a hands-on, creative role. We want someone who doesn't just wait for a content brief, but actively finds creators, formats, conversations and cultural moments, spinning up ideas and turning them into content quickly. You'll work closely with our founders, with considerable freedom to experiment with ideas and develop brut tea's voice and visual identity. We're a lean, fast-moving team, so we're looking for someone who is highly action-oriented, naturally curious and genuinely obsessed with social media and great content.
