Job Title: Part-Time Site Caretaker/Cleaner
Location: Scunthorpe
Hours: Part-Time, Monday to Friday approx. 10 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
The role:
A motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our excellent growing team as a Site Caretaker. The main purpose of the role is to always keep our business premises clean and tidy. You must deliver an outstanding customer experience by promoting products and services and using your initiative to ensure services and standards are well maintained.
It's crucial that you have the eagerness to be warm and welcoming when dealing with customers, making all customers feel looked after. Using your brilliant people skills, you'll determine what the customer’s situation is and provide relevant solutions and the support they need.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Ability to perform a variety of site duties keeping your day dynamic and engaging.
· Play the key role in ensuring the smooth running of our site, helping to maintain our high standards of efficiency and safety.
· Capable of lifting up to 25kg when required.
· Clearing work area of any debris and keeping the traffic routes clear of obstructions.
· Reporting faulty equipment, any damage, and other safety hazards to line manager.
· Show storage units to potential renters as required.
· Undertake regular security checks and audits at the store.
· Completing daily, weekly, monthly reports and audits.
· Be a local key holder for the site, this may require occasional out of hours call out in relation to health and safety, security or fire safety issues.
· Meeting and arranging external contractors as required.
· Manage some basic on-site administrative duties if required.
-Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety Regulations at all times, promoting safe working practices, reporting hazards, and keeping work areas and traffic routes clear of obstructions.
· Light maintenance duties including weed control, grass cutting, window cleaning, painting and other maintenance tasks such as replacement of light tubes where required.
· Comprehensive cleaning duties, keeping the facility clean and tidy to the highest standards (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, toilets etc).
· Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects when required.
· Co-operate with the rest of the employees and provide outstanding customer service.
· Make any adjustments and minor repairs.
· Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
· Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills:
· Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaking or cleaning role is desirable.
· Able to deal with members of the public in a non-discriminatory manner. · This includes ensuring the integrity of the business is maintained and that no conflict of interests is created with current customers, contractors or other members of staff.
· Ability to use initiative and instinct when dealing with members of the public who may wish to potentially misuse the storage site facility.
· Must be ‘hands on’ and with a ‘can do attitude.’
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
· Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
· Detail-oriented with strong organisational and communication skills.
· Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Flexibility to work hours as needed to meet the needs of the business
· Reliability and punctuality are essential, being able to show an excellent timekeeping and attendance record
Pay: £14.00 per hour
