What you’ll be doing
Based primarily at one of our client sites in Bedford, you'll work closely with our team in Corby to deliver excellent technical support and ensure a high level of customer service. While most of your time will be spent supporting this client on-site, you'll also have the opportunity to assist other clients when required.
From time to time, you'll support our senior technicians with project work, system installations, and planned maintenance, giving you the chance to broaden your skills and experience.
As this is a field-based role, you'll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Occasional travel to our Corby office and other client sites will be required, along with some out-of-hours work, including weekends when needed.

Your role will include…
- Answering all calls promptly, politely, calmly, and professionally.
- Providing users with a high level of 1st line support.
- Maintaining customer expectations and escalating issues when necessary to the Kyonet support desk.
- Coordinating the effective resolution of problems to ensure service delivery and implementing solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Investigating and diagnosing IT faults and problems, including hardware and software issues, PC systems, and network equipment.
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for daily / weekly recurring tasks.
- Working with the clients internal teams/departments to maximise the technology use to drive efficiencies within their business.
- Spend time with the larger team at the Kyonet head office on occasions to undertake training, meeting and exposure to our working style.

Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Experience with Microsoft Operating System installation and support.
- Experience in providing support in a networked environment.
- Experience in Windows Server Administration, including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
- Basic knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization technology.
- An understanding of data backup principles.
- Training or experience using Microsoft Office 365

- Knowledge of networking technologies and troubleshooting (IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs and switching
