About the Role:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the development, learning, and wellbeing of children in the early years. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider team to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to explore and learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with their learning and development through play-based activities
- Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes and personal care where required
- Promoting a positive, safe, and nurturing environment
- Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND where applicable
- Observing and reporting on children’s progress
- Working collaboratively with staff and building positive relationships with children and families
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or education (desirable but not essential)
