We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeping Team Leader / Head Housekeeper to lead our domestic team and ensure every area of the home is maintained to the highest possible standard.
About the Role
As Head Housekeeper, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, comfortable and homely environment for our residents. Leading by example, you’ll oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operation, ensuring outstanding cleanliness throughout the home while supporting and motivating your team.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the home and build positive relationships with residents, making a genuine difference to their daily lives through attention to detail and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
- Ensure all bedrooms, communal areas and facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard in line with cleaning schedules and company procedures.
- Organise daily workloads and monitor quality to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Promote a positive, supportive and professional team culture, providing guidance and coaching where required.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting maintenance issues or stock requirements promptly.
- Build positive relationships with residents, respecting their dignity, privacy and individual preferences at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments to create a welcoming and comfortable environment.
- Support the General Manager in maintaining the presentation and cleanliness expected within a luxury care home.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Takes pride in delivering exceptionally high standards.
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Is approachable, positive and enjoys supporting and developing others.
- Has a keen eye for detail and works proactively.
- Enjoys building relationships with residents and contributing to a warm, caring atmosphere.
- Is reliable, self-motivated and committed to creating an environment where people feel truly at home.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 4:00pm
- Average 35 hours per week
