☕ BARISTA & COMMUNITY HOST – ANOTHER PLACE, STOKE NEWINGTON
We’re looking for a friendly, confident and experienced Barista & Community Host to join the team at Another Place, an independent coworking space in Stoke Newington.
This isn’t just a barista job.
We want someone who enjoys great coffee and enjoys people.
You’ll be responsible for serving excellent coffee while also helping create the welcoming atmosphere that makes Another Place feel like a community.
What you’ll be doing
Preparing and serving high-quality specialty coffee
Welcoming members, guests and visitors
Getting to know our coworking members and making them feel at home
Showing new visitors around the space when required
Being friendly, approachable and happy to have a chat with members
Keeping the coffee area clean, organised and well stocked
Helping with basic stock management and ordering
Maintaining high standards across the coffee operation
Helping create a relaxed, welcoming environment throughout the day
The ideal person
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous barista experience
- Is confident making espresso-based drinks
- Has an interest in specialty coffee
- Is friendly, outgoing and naturally good with people
- Can work independently and take responsibility
- Has excellent customer service skills
- Is comfortable talking to people and building relationships
- Takes pride in keeping their workspace clean and organised
- Enjoys working in a relaxed coworking environment
Coffee experience is important, but personality is just as important.
You’ll be one of the faces of Another Place, so we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys welcoming people and making them feel comfortable.
Pay & Member Sign-Up Bonus
£14–£16 per hour, depending on experience.
Plus a Member Sign-Up Bonus.
If a new customer walks into Another Place, makes an enquiry and subsequently signs up as a coworking member or purchases a hot desk package, you’ll receive a bonus for the successful sign-up.
This could include, for example:
- A new customer who walks in, has a look around and signs up for a fixed desk
- A walk-in customer who purchases a hot desk package
The more you help introduce people to Another Place and turn enquiries into members, the more you can earn.
Hours
We’re looking to create two shifts/positions covering the week, giving us coverage across Monday–Sunday.
There is flexibility around the exact days and hours.
