Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste responsibly to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, desks, and bathroom fixtures regularly
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as appropriate for each area
- Restock supplies like toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and other essentials to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a safe environment
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the designated school staff
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Enhanced DBS Required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Good physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
- Reliable transportation or proximity to the school location is advantageous
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
