Front of House Team Member

The Garden Room at Annett’s Garden Centre is seeking a friendly new team member with a passion for coffee and building great relationships with customers.
A family run business opened in September 2023, our mission is to be the best brunch and coffee spot around, where customers feel relaxed and look forward to conversations with a vibrant and familiar team.
We are looking to recruit a fully-flexible front-of-house member who will start in September as a lot of our team head back to school and university.
Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, passionate, and dedicated front-of-house member to join our café. You will have a love for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and a strong willingness to contribute to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of our team and contribute to the success of our café.
This role is perfect for a dynamic candidate who would like to explore and develop their skills between serving customers and preparing espresso, matcha and cold drinks.
This role includes weekdays and weekend between the hours of 8am-6pm, 16-24 hours across 3-4 days. We are prepared to be flexible for the right candidate. This role will not be suitable for students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso based coffees and other beverages
- Attend to customers by taking orders, recommending dishes and pre-empt customer needs
- Uphold health and safety requirements with particular attention to understanding dietary requirements and preferences
- Assist with basic kitchen responsibilities
- Operate a till to input orders and take payments
- Work as part of a team to help all team members perform efficiently
- General café duties to include cleaning
Experience:
An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to develop yourself is the most important thing to us! Experience in a hospitality/cafe setting is preferred but full training will be given.
