Electoral Services Officer – Electoral Services (Permanent)
You will provide support for the electoral registration process, including the preparation, publication and maintenance of the register of electors. The processing of registration and absent voter applications will be a key part of your duties throughout the year.
Working to a high standard, you will also be central to the preparation for all elections, including the local Council elections in May 2027. Tasks will include booking polling station staff, ballot box preparation and dealing with queries from staff and electors.
In this role you will bring a strong awareness of good customer service, excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to liaise with members of the public and staff of all levels.
You will also have experience in working within an office environment using Microsoft Office and other IT systems and working in a customer-facing role.
Ideally the candidate will have experience of working in an Electoral Services team, and will hold or be willing to undertake the AEA Electoral Administration Certificate.
Please note that you will be required to work during the evening and on weekends during busy periods.
