Leach’s is a Hereford based business, specializing in height safety and scaffolding supplies. We cater to a large range of industries such as scaffolding construction, bricklaying, oil & gas and many more. We’re looking for a full-time Print Technician to join our team and come with us on our growth journey. Mon-Fri 6am-4pm.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Print Technician will maintain the following duties and should have the following skillset:
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up extra wide format printers using UV or LED inks, ensuring optimal print quality and efficiency.
- Prepare digital files and perform colour management to meet client specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimise downtime and ensure consistent printer performance.
- Monitor print jobs for quality control, making adjustments as necessary.
- Manage ink levels, replace inks, and handle UV/LED ink supplies with proper safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with sales and wider operations team to ensure succinct delivery of customer SLAs.
- Keep detailed records of print jobs, maintenance, and inventory.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating UV or LED wide format printers.
- Familiarity with digital design software (Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software).
- Strong understanding of colour management and digital printing workflows.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of UV/LED ink properties, safety procedures (COSHH), and environmental considerations.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Prior warehouse experience will be considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
