Overview
We are seeking a resourceful and dedicated Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality maintenance to a large holiday business . This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt to problems , and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. Candidates must be flexible to hours worked . There is a comprehensive diary which shows the days you will be required. The successful applicant will need to carry the caretaker's phone and be prepared to answer guests calls and possibly return to sort issues out. Ideally you need to be with in 45 minutes of the location .
Responsibilities
- The Caretaker will ensure that pool, hot tub and are cleaned on change over days.
- Assist the cleaning team with moving the laundry.
- Carry out weekly and monthly checks
- Cut lawns , strim and cut hedges when needed as well as other garden maintenance.
- The individual should be able to carry out painting , basic carpentry , basic plumbing and repairs and be observant to any problems .
- Communicate effectively with cleaning team and clients .
- Be prepared to respond to problems if out of hours, extra pay is available for out of hours worked.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment , adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Be willing to help on other properties
Experience
- Previous experience in property maintenance is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and staff.
- A valid driving licence is desirable as part of the role.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for documentation purposes , checking client bookings and communication within the team.
