Formosa Landscapes is an award-winning landscape design and construction company specialising in high-end outdoor spaces for private residential clients across London and the Home Counties.
Our projects are detailed, design-led and built to last. They incorporate high-quality paving, brickwork, bespoke timber structures, drainage, lighting, irrigation, lawns and carefully considered planting.
With a strong and growing programme of exciting projects, we are looking for an experienced Skilled Landscaper with a genuine passion for the industry and pride in the quality of their work.

THE ROLE
You will work as part of a small and experienced landscape construction team, typically consisting of three to four people.
You will be involved in all stages of landscape construction, from ground preparation and drainage through to paving, timberwork, planting and final finishing.
You must be able to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of completing tasks independently when required.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Ground preparation, excavation and general groundwork
- Working accurately with levels and measurements
- Reading and working from landscape plans and construction specifications
- Installing natural stone and porcelain paving
- Constructing brickwork, raised beds and retaining structures
- Installing fencing, decking, pergolas and other timber structures
- Installing drainage and preparing sub-bases
- Soil preparation, turfing and planting
- Assisting with garden lighting and irrigation infrastructure
- Installing garden features and detailed finishing elements
- Safely operating a wide range of power tools and landscape machinery
- Working collaboratively with the foreman and other members of the team
- Maintaining high standards of finish and quality control
- Keeping the site clean, organised and professionally presented
- Treating clients, neighbouring properties and other contractors respectfully
- Following company health and safety procedures
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The successful applicant will have:
- At least three years’ professional landscape construction experience
- Strong practical hard and soft landscaping skills
- Experience working effectively in a landscape construction team
- The ability to work independently and complete tasks without constant supervision
- The ability to read landscape plans and construction specifications
- A good understanding of levels, measurements and setting out
- Experience using a wide range of power tools and landscape machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality
- Pride in their personal presentation and finished work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable, organised and positive approach
- A professional manner when working at clients’ homes
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety
- The ability to travel to our Sunbury-on-Thames base or directly to project sites
A full UK driving licence is strongly preferred.
Relevant landscaping or construction qualifications, a CSCS card, first-aid training, or CPCS/NPORS excavator and dumper certification would be advantageous. However, practical experience and the quality of your previous work are most important.
