The Heart of Our Kitchen
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Pear Tree. As a busy local favorite, our kitchen moves fast, and we need someone who can keep the engine running smoothly while the chefs focus on the food.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role is essential to our success. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Washing Up: Operating the industrial dishwasher and hand-washing large pots and pans to ensure a constant supply of clean equipment.
- Cleaning: Maintaining high standards of hygiene across the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and waste disposal areas.
- Organization: Ensuring plates, cutlery, and glassware are dried and returned to the correct stations promptly.
- Support: Assisting the chefs with basic prep or unloading deliveries during quieter moments.
What We’re Looking For
- Energy: You enjoy staying active and can handle the physical nature of a busy shift.
- Reliability: You show up on time and ready to go—the team depends on you!
- Attitude: A "can-do" approach. Even when it’s busy, you keep your cool and stay focused.
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen is great, but not essential. If you have the right work ethic, we’ll teach you the rest.
