Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation standards are met
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety protocols
- Manage food inventory, ensure proper storage, and minimize waste through efficient kitchen practices
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times
- Lead team management efforts by training new staff, scheduling shifts, and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Serve dishes with professionalism, ensuring timely delivery to guests while maintaining high service standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or similar culinary role with a strong focus on South Indian cuisine
- Demonstrated supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to South Indian dishes such as dosas, idlis, sambar, rasam, vadas, and more
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a culinary team effectively
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and kitchen operations
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality and customer service excellence
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and quality
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,500.00 per year
