Industrial Door Engineer
We are looking for enthusiastic and physically capable individual to join our team as Industrial Door Engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a hands-on, technical trade.
Previous industrial door experience is essential however, we will train the right candidate and develop their skills through practical experience and on-the-job training. We are looking for people with a positive attitude, good common sense, a strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting and handling heavy equipment and materials.
- Be comfortable working at height and using ladders and access equipment.
- Have good practical/common-sense problem-solving skills.
- Be reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn new skills.
- Be confident working with hand and power tools, or willing to learn.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have a positive attitude and take pride in producing high-quality work.
- Be comfortable working on different sites and adapting to different working environments.
What the role involves:
- Installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of industrial doors.
- Working with sectional, rolling, high-speed, and fire-rated door systems.
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Working at height and handling heavy door components.
- Learning welding, fabrication, electrical troubleshooting, and other relevant technical skills.
- Working alongside experienced engineers to develop your knowledge and capabilities.
- Maintaining safe working practices and complying with site health and safety requirements.
Training & Development
You do not need to be fully skilled or experienced to apply. We are willing to train and develop the right person from the ground up. Previous experience in construction, engineering, roofing, welding, carpentry, plumbing, or similar hands-on work would be advantageous, but is not essential.
The most important qualities are reliability, physical fitness, common sense, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
Pay:
Rates are negotiable depending on experience, skills, and ability. For the right candidate, we are prepared to invest in training and development to help you become a fully competent Industrial Door Engineer.
